Pop songs by S. Korean singer
     2011-November-21  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

South Korean pop singer Jun Jin will give a concert at Huaxia Art Center on Dec. 3.

Since his first appearance in Beijing in July 2001, Jun Jin has become increasingly popular on the Chinese mainland. He has performed in Shenyang, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, Nanjing and Chengdu, among other places. He felt he had a special relationship with China and even joked that he had been Chinese in a previous life.

Jun Jin is the stage name of Park Choong-jae, who was born Aug. 19, 1980 as the first child of singer Charlie Park, also called Park Young-chul.

Jun Jin was a member of the longest-running Korean male band Shinhwa, which was set up by SM Entertainment Record Co. in November 1997. Unlike other bands at the same label, Shinhwa specialized in rap and dancing. Its popular albums included “T.O.P,” “Wedding” and “Perfect Man.”

Jun Jin started his solo career with the album “Love Doesn’t Come” in November 2006, with a total of five songs. He has since released albums such as “New Decade,” “Forever” and “Fascination.”

Jun Jin has also engaged in acting, starring in the KBS drama “Forbidden Love,” MBC Drama “Queen of Housewives,” comic-variety program “Infinite Challenge” and “We Got Married.”

    Time: 7:30 p.m., Dec. 3

    Tickets: 380-1,280 yuan

Venue: Huaxia Art Center, 1 Guangqiao Street, OCT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城光侨街1号华夏艺术中心)
