Super Bowl performance

    Madonna will perform at halftime of the Super Bowl in Indianapolis. The Grammy Award-winning singer will highlight the show at Lucas Oil Stadium on February 5.

    Madonna will join such acts as Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Prince, U2, Paul McCartney, The Who and the Rolling Stones to perform during recent Super Bowls.

    Zhao Wei to direct

    Chinese actress Zhao Wei is set to fulfill a dream that she has been harboring* for the past five years — directing a feature film. Zhao’s agent confirmed that the wannabe-director has finalized the details of her directorial debut, and that filming is likely to start early next year.

    Jackson doctor gets 4 years

    Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, last Tuesday was sentenced to four years in jail without probation* for involuntary* manslaughter* in the pop star’s death.

    Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor gave Murray the maximum sentence and said the physician engaged in “money for medicine madness that is simply not acceptable to me.”

    Sheen’s ex-wife arrested

    Brooke Mueller, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, was arrested for cocaine* possession and assault* in Aspen, Colorado, the ski resort town where Sheen was arrested for assaulting Mueller in December 2009.

    The Aspen Police Department said in a news release that officers were conducting “a routine walk through” of the Belly Up bar late Friday night when a woman reported she was assaulted by Mueller.
