Former TVB actor passes away at 70
     2011-December-9  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

HONG KONG actor Wang Wei has passed away at 70 years old. His real name was Wang Wing-wei.

Wang started shooting popular Mandarin movies in 1963. In 1971, he joined the television industry, starring in many popular series at ATV and TVB, the two biggest television stations in Hong Kong.

His role as Nurhaci in the ATV series “The Rise and Fall of the Qing Dynasty” has long been considered a classic. The mainland viewers, however, are more familiar with his TVB works, such as “The Legend of the Condor Heroes,” “State of Divinity,” and “A Step Into the Past.”

Wang emigrated to Toronto, Canada, in 1990 and retired from acting in 2002.(SD-Agencies)
