    Karen Mok’s new role

    Hong Kong actress Karen Mok has been announced as the female lead of Keanu Reeves’ directorial debut* “Man of Tai Chi,” according to Mtime.com. Mok will play a police officer in the movie. “Man of Tai Chi” is a modern kung-fu movie with a tai chi twist*.

    Spears engaged

    Britney Spears is ready to walk down the aisle for the third time. The 30-year-old pop star has agreed to marry her longtime boyfriend and former agent Jason Trawick.

    Trawick announced on Friday on “Access Hollywood” that he and Spears are engaged. The two have been dating since 2009.

    Beach Boys’ reunion tour

    It is almost winter, but get ready for some surf* and sun: The Beach Boys are reuniting.

    The founding members of the 1960s rock group — Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine — announced on Friday they are getting back together to celebrate their 50th anniversary. They are working on a new album and are also planning a 50-date tour that will take them around the world.

    The Beach Boys’ first concert is scheduled for April 27 at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

    Post-baby appearance

    French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has made her first public appearance since giving birth to a baby girl in October.

    Bruni-Sarkozy handed out presents to children at the traditional Christmas celebration at the Elysee presidential palace. The first lady did not have baby Giulia with her last Wednesday.

    Born on October 19, Giulia Sarkozy is the first baby born to a sitting French president.
