Black Duck Trio to graceconcert hall

    Black Duck Trio and Laoniche Quartet will stage a choral concert at Shenzhen Concert Hall on Jan. 7.

    Black Duck Trio will sing a string of melodious songs including “Wild Lily Has Its Own Spring,” “Orchid,” “Just Like Your Tenderness” and “Jasmine,” while Laoniche Quartet interprets Chinese and foreign folk songs like “Girls From Dabancheng” (Xinjiang folk song), “My Sun” and “A Thousand Miles Away.” The two bands will also perform “Half a Moon Climbs Up” together.

    Formed in 1984, the original Black Duck Trio comprised three graduates from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Since then, there have been six different combinations of the trio. The Shenzhen performance will feature Yang Man, Fan Tongzhou and Xu Xiuxia.
