Exhibition of students’ creative art
     2012-January-4  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    Wang Yuanyuan

A free exhibition featuring award-winning designs is being held at Children’s Palace until January 6, according to representatives of the venue. The 160 designing works were all from the city’s primary and middle school students, including paintings, craftwork and sculptures.

As one of the key activities at this year’s Creative December, the 7th Shenzhen Art Design Competition for Youth was launched in December, attracting more than 1,000 student participants across the city’s primary and middle schools.

After a series of selections, four students won gold prizes and eight won silver, 16 won bronze and 32 students won outstanding awards, the organizer said.

The annual competition is to promote creative cultural design among young students and more achievements made by overseas students may be introduced at next year’s competition, the organizer said.
