萝莉 luólì

Meaning: "萝莉" comes from Lolita, a title protagonist of Vladimirovich Nabokov's novel. In the novel, a middle-aged professor falls in love with 12-year-old Lolita. The name "Lolita" has entered pop culture to describe a sexually precocious girl. Later, the term has a more widely use referring to cute young girls or a fashion style somewhat similar to Victorian age clothing.

Examples:

Have you seen "Love Is Not Blind?"

Not yet. But I heard it's a box office hit.

I've seen it. The leading actress is very cute.

Wow, I love to see cute young girls too!

Why is Lili dressed like a teenage girl recently?

So you haven't heard about it? She is dating a boy five years her junior!

Good for her!
