    Glofish are amazing fish originally bred to help scientists detect environmental pollutants. These little fish are flourescent and seem to retain the glow. They are as easy to care for as regular fish.

    Glofish are unique, and their sale is covered by a number of patents and pending patent applications. The fish are available in starfire red, sunburst orange, electric green, cosmic blue and galactic purple. Glofish aquariums, optimized with special color enhancing LEDs, are available from amazon.com for US$42. The fish cost US$5 apiece.
