Shenzhen Fine Art Institute to be renovated

    SHENZHEN Fine Art Institute, the only government-run institute of its kind in Shenzhen, will undergo a yearlong renovation starting May.

The office of Shenzhen Fine Art Institute will be moved to Tiyu Building during the renovation period.

Shenzhen Fine Art Institute was built in 1997. The renovation will be done with a government investment totaling 22.85 million yuan (US$3.6 million) and will greatly improve the functions of the institute.

The Shenzhen Municipal Government has been investing heavily in cultural facilities in recent years. Shenzhen Art Museum and Guan Shanyue Art Museum have also undergone major renovations.
