交叉

"Crossed" is the second book in the Matched Trilogy by Ally Condie. It is the amazing sequel to the book "Matched."

In Cassia's futuristic world, The Society chooses everything: the books you read, where you live, the person you love, how many children you have. But for Cassia the rules have changed and her life has been twisted. Ky has been taken to another province and Cassia will sacrifice anything and everything to get him back. When Cassia discovers that Ky has escaped to the wild frontiers beyond The Society there is hope. But nothing is as it seems at the edge of The Society. A rebellion is rising. "Crossed" is Cassia and Ky's story, as the book is written in both of their points of view. In this story Cassia and Ky must venture through wide canyons and across broad plains to find each other.

In "Crossed," Cassia's character grow and learn in ways that would not have been possible in The Society. Readers also get to see more of Ky's forbidden talents.

If you thought "Matched" was good just wait until you read "Crossed." The search for The Rising and the events and story that unfolds as you read is nothing short of breathtaking. The aspect of people trying to preserve history and art is something that really stands out.

This book is told in alternating chapters from both Cassia and Ky's perspective, something that absolutely set this book apart from the first book. The book is not a fast pace action book but it isn't a slow moving love story either. It moves along at just the right speed and keeps you intrigued the whole time.

The one redeeming quality in "Crossed" is that Condie writes beautiful prose.
