Alicia Keys, after giving birth to her son two years ago, said she wanted to create tools for children. Now she’s launching an app for kids.
“The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee” is about a young New York City girl’s relationship with her wise grandmother. Keys produced music for the interactive* app, which released on October 25 for US$3.99.
James Cameron to direct
‘The Informationist’
James Cameron has selected “The Informationist” as his follow-up to the “Avatar” franchise.
Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment has acquired the rights to Taylor Stevens’ 2011 novel, and will develop the adaptation as a future project for Cameron to direct and produce.
Cameron is presently at work on the second and third “Avatar” films, which Fox is keen to make after the record-breaking success of the first one.

Schwarzenegger to reprise Conan
Arnold Schwarzenegger is reprising* one of his most famous movie roles — Conan the Barbarian — for an upcoming sequel*, Universal Pictures said on October 26.
Schwarzenegger, 65, will play the sword-swinging* hero in “The Legend of Conan,” 30 years after the film that launched the Austrian body-builder as a Hollywood star.
The new “Conan” film is the latest Hollywood venture by Schwarzenegger since the action movie hero ended his term as governor of California in January 2011.(SD-Agencies)
