‘Finding Nemo’ sequel for 2015
The sequel* to the Oscar-winning animated film “Finding Nemo” will be released in 2015, studio Disney-Pixar said on April 2.
“Finding Dory” will focus on the absent-minded tang fish* voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, who was a big hit with audiences.
“I’m excited that it’s finally happening,” DeGeneres said on her daytime talk show, “Ellen.”
“I read the script and it’s fantastic, it’s hilarious*, it’s warm, it’s everything that you want it to be,” she added.
Psy promotes ‘Gentleman’ style
South Korean rapper Psy plans to follow his “Gangnam Style” YouTube hit with a single called “Gentleman” and a new dance. The song is set to be released on April 12.
It will be available for Korean fans on that date, but Psy will perform it in public for the first time at an April 13 concert.
“The new song is extremely fun and ... what I can tell you is the song title is ‘Gentleman,’” Psy told local television on April 1.
McConaughey to star in sci-fi epic
U.S. actor Matthew McConaughey will star in Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi* epic* “Interstellar,” the director’s follow-up to “The Dark Knight Rises” and McConaughey’s first big-budget film in years. The actor told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune he had accepted the role in the film, confirming reports from about a week ago.
McConaughey played a prosecutor* in Richard Linklater’s “Bernie,” a cruel cop in “Killer Joe” and a stripper in “Magic Mike.”
Madonna visits orphanage
Hundreds of orphans welcomed Madonna and her children with song and dance on April 3 during their visit to the orphanage where the pop star adopted one of her Malawian* children.
Madonna said she was happy to be back at the Home of Hope orphanage, where she adopted David Banda, in the western district of Mchinji near the border with Zambia.
Banda, now 8, was accompanied by his sister Mercy James, also 8 and adopted from Malawi, and their siblings, Rocco and Lourdes.
