
CHINA’s top movie star Fan Bingbing received the International Artist of the Year Award from The Hollywood Reporter (THR) on Saturday at a gala reception in Cannes, France.
As a global style icon, Fan was stunning in a pink Valentino gown as she was presented with the publication’s first ever International Artist of the Year Award at a cocktail party in her honor hosted by THR, Jimmy Choo and Mouton Cadet at the Martinez Hotel. The award recognizes a rising global celebrity whose work has the power to affect the entertainment field worldwide.
Fan, who has emerged as a leading international fashion icon as her global acting career has exploded, is slated to co-star in Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” as well as “Skiptrace” with Jackie Chan.
“It’s truly an honor to receive this award from The Hollywood Reporter, which is known internationally for journalistic excellence,” Fan said. “I’m very proud and especially excited to receive this honor at Cannes.”
Other famous actors attending the private event included Naomie Harris, Paz Vega and Oscar Isaac and filmmakers James Toback, McG and Gurinder Chadha. (CRI)
