Bieber hits photographer
Teen pop star Justin Bieber hit a photographer with his Ferrari sports car while driving away from a comedy club in Los Angeles on the night of June 17, but the accident was not considered a hit-and-run*, police said.
Video taken outside the Laugh Factory comedy club showed Bieber behind the wheel of his white Ferrari, surrounded by photographers as he was pulling away.
Celebrity website TMZ said Bieber motioned* the photographers to clear out of the way but apparently pinned one between his Ferrari and a parked car as he pulled out. He then drove away.
Two sequels for ‘Spider-Man’
Sony will produce and release two more sequels* to “The Amazing Spider-Man,” the studio announced on June 17. The studio is already in production on “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” which will open in theaters on May 2 of next year.
The third “Spider-Man” film will open June 10, 2016 while the fourth will open on May 4, 2018.
Madonna premieres tour film
Madonna said there were days when she was exhausted during her recent “MDNA” world tour, but she decided to press on*.
You won’t see those behind-the-scenes battles in her new concert film, “The MDNA Tour,” which premieres on June 22 on the online and cable network Epix. You will see the 54-year-old pop icon performing — mainly highlights from her Miami shows — for two hours on her tour, which started in May of last year and wrapped in December.
Palestinian wins ‘Arab Idol’
While still fighting for independence and global recognition, Palestinians had a big reason to celebrate on June 22 when one of their own, 23-year-old Mohammed Assaf of the Khan Younis refugee camp, won the second season of “Arab Idol.”
The show, which airs live from Lebanon, is a pan-Middle Eastern edition of the American mothership, broadcast on the region’s MBC network. Assaf was considered a favorite for the past several weeks, having gained global media attention surrounding his participation — as the first Palestinian to make the Top 10 — in the high-rated TV show.(SD-Agencies)
