Chinese actress Yao Chen, 33, gave birth to a baby boy on Monday evening in Beijing, Sohu.com reported.

    The boy weighed around 6.8 pounds, and both mother and baby were in good condition, Yao’s publicist* told the media.

    Yao’s Sina Weibo is now filled with congratulation messages from her fans. The actress has over 49 million followers on Sina Weibo, an achievement which has brought her the title of “Weibo Queen.”

    The baby is Yao’s first child; the father is award-winning cinematographer* Cao Yu, whom Yao married in late 2012. Yao had previously ended a seven-year marriage with actor Ling Xiaosu in January 2011.(SD-Agencies)
