Sodcast
     2013-August-8  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    音乐公放

    Sod是“草皮”,在俚语中可以指“讨厌的人、麻烦事”,cast指broadcast(播放)。Sodcast是什么意思?请看对话:

A: I took a walk in the park near my home this morning, and met a terrible sodcaster.

    B: What is that?

A: The park was quiet and nice, where you could hear twittering birds. And the guy played a lousy pop song out loud through his mobile phone speaker.

B: So, a sodcaster is a person who plays music loud enough that other people can hear it?

A: Yeah, particularly in a public location. For example: to play music on a crowded bus. The verb is “sodcast.” It is a play on the word “podcast.” The British slang term “sod” has many meanings and uses, but in this context it refers to a person who is an idiot.

B: I think sodcasters are terrified of not being noticed, so they spray their audio wee around the place like tom cats.

    记住了吗?Sodcast就是“音乐公放”。
