    rénjiān-bùchāi

Meaning: This term is kind of a new idiom coined by Chinese netizens, which is short for a sentence "人生已经如此艰难,有些事就不要拆穿," which means "Life is so hard, that some lies are better not to be exposed." This sentence is originally a line from the lyrics of "Lying," a song by Taiwanese Mandopop singer Yoga Lin. This term often appears in online chat, used as a response to cruel facts.

Nǐ zhèjiàn yīfu zhēn piàoliang, nǎr mǎi de?

Your dress is very pretty. Where did you buy it?

    Wǒ zài táobǎo mǎi de.

    I bought it at taobao.com.

Jiǎnzhí gēn wǒ zài shāngchǎng lǐ kàndào de yīmú-yīyàng。

It looks exactly the same as the one I saw in the department store.

It cannot be the same. This one is a fake.

Haven't you told me that you were addicted to online shopping and would stop it?

    Rénjiān-bùchāi。

Life is so hard, that some lies are better not to be exposed.
