凯瑟琳·海格尔将出演NBC电视台谍报片
Katherine Heigl has found a home and, she hopes, her TV comeback.
The 34-year-old actress, who rose to stardom in “Grey’s Anatomy,” has been shopping around a CIA drama she would star in and co-executive produce and NBC has picked it up for development, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
The untitled drama, described as “Scandal” meets “The West Wing,” will revolve* around a maverick* CIA officer to be played by Heigl. Tapped to become the president’s daily briefer*, she is responsible for targeting America’s most critical threats while navigating the unique lifestyle that comes with such a high-powered job.
Alexi Hawley (“The Following,” “Body of Proof”) has been tapped to write the script for the project.
“The story is not only compelling* and intelligent, but a look behind the curtain at the CIA we haven’t seen before in film or television,” Heigl said. “I am thrilled and honored to have been asked to be a part of developing these stories and this character and bringing it all to life. NBC has been a true partner in their passion and support for the show that we’ve dreamed of making, and I could not be happier about joining forces with them.”
For six seasons, Heigl impressed fans as Dr. Izzie Stevens in “Grey’s Anatomy*.” She left the hospital drama in 2010.
