温情爆笑喜剧《非常父女档》

    Mexican playboy Valentin Bravo never thinks of having a family. And then one day there’s a knock on his door.

    An American woman named Julie, whom Bravo once thought as “his first and last love,” is standing there. She’s holding a 9-month-old baby. Julie leaves the baby with Bravo, saying she is his daughter.

    So Bravo stands there, holding little Maggie and wondering what just happened.

    In Maggie’s diaper* bag is a letter and a picture of Julie, who was an aerobics* instructor, standing in front of the California Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. And since Bravo has no interest in being a father, he takes little Maggie and hitchhikes* north from Acapulco, sneaks* across the border and tries to return the child to her mother.

    She’s long gone, of course. But while searching for her, Bravo ends up in the hotel suite of Hollywood movie producer Frank Ryan ... just about the time Maggie crawls* toward a swimming pool 10 stories below. Bravo jumps off the balcony into the water to save her. The jump earns him a stuntman* job from Ryan, and a new and very different life for Bravo and Maggie in Tinseltown*.

    Fast forward seven years. Bravo and Maggie have lived an unconventional* but happy life together. His stunt work keeps him busy and well paid, and he often brings Maggie along to act as his translator and negotiator*.

    But Maggie longs to know her mother. Bravo tells her that they got divorced when she was very young, and each week he writes a letter to his little girl that he says is from her mom. But that can’t keep the 7-year-old from wondering, “If she loves me, why doesn’t she come to see me?”

    Bravo has just begun to audition* actresses who can “play” Julie when she suddenly shows up.

    Just as Julie made Bravo’s life hard the first time, her sudden return does so again. And the things that follow show just how much Bravo has been turned into a loving father who will do his best for the daughter he never asked for. (SD-Agencies)
