3D街舞片《年度之战》

Battle of the Year is an international dance crew tournament* that attracts all the best teams from around the world, but the Americans haven’t won in 15 years. Los Angeles hip-hop* mogul* Dante wants to lead his team back on top.
He asks his friend Jason Blake, who was a championship basketball coach, to train his team. Believing that the right coach can make any team champions, they set up a dream team of the best dancers across the country.
With only three months until the competition, Blake has to use every tactic* he knows to get 12 talented people to come together as a team if they’re going to bring the trophy* back to America.
Benson Lee’s film is inspired by his documentary* “Planet B-Boy” about an annual breakdancing competition. The film includes singer Chris Brown in a leading role, which may attract teenage girls. However, the characters and plot seem too familiar.
Josh Holloway plays the central role of Blake, a former basketball coach still mourning his wife and teenage son who died in a road accident.
Will Blake overcome his personal problems to whip his team into shape*? Will the kids learn to overcome their differences and form a good team? These are not burning issues of the film, which gives much of its screen time to footage* of the dancers practicing.
Blake is not so interesting. Some comic relief* is provided by his assistant coach Franklyn (Josh Peck), who says, “I might be Jewish, but my religion is hip-hop.”
Surprisingly, the film fails to introduce a romantic subplot involving Blake and Stacy (Caity Lotz), the female choreographer*. The film reaches its climax when the American dream team faces off* against a group of South Koreans.(SD-Agencies)
