CHINESE actress Sun Li has been nominated for the Best Actress award at this year’s International Emmy Awards.

    Sun was nominated for her role in the TV series “The Legend of Zhen Huan.”

    The show follows the political intrigue of an emperor’s concubines during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and has been a hit with Chinese audiences since its debut in 2011.

    It has also reached an international audience in Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States.

    Other nominees for the award include British actress Sheridan Smith, Brazilian Fernanda Montenegro, and Sweden’s Lotta Tejle.

    The 41st International Emmy Awards will be given Nov. 25 in New York.
