Baggage Claim
     2013-October-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

When TransAlliance flight attendant* Montana Moore (Paula Patton) finds herself picked as maid of honor* again — this time for her younger sister (Lauren London) — she wants to do something. Her mother (Jenifer Lewis), who’s been married five times, is even more worried that she is still single at 30. For Moore, a husband should travel by air often and earn millions in salary.

When her latest boyfriend, businessman Graham (Boris Kodjoe), turns out to be a mean* guy, Moore gets comfort from her longtime best friend William (Derek Luke), who lives across the hall with his girlfriend Taylor (Christina Milian) but is clearly meant to be the Harry to Moore’s Sally*.

Moore decides to find a Mr. Right* of her own in time for her sister’s big engagement* dinner, so she agrees when her happily single workplace besties* Gail (Jill Scott) and Sam (Adam Brody) make a plan to break federal law and cyberstalk* several of Moore’s most qualified ex-boyfriends on their holiday travels. They plan to book Moore on the same flights as her former boyfriends and see if things will work out*.

Through a series of running-through-the-airport scenes, Moore reconnects* with successful record producer Damon Diesel (Trey Songz), who always needs a woman to take care of him; hotel magnate* Quinton Jamison (Djimon Hounsou), who has already been divorced* twice; and congressional candidate* Langston Jefferson Battle III (Taye Diggs) who is seeking the perfect running* mate and becomes the butt of one of the movie’s best jokes*.

Writer-director David E. Talbert presents a few funny one-liners and touching scenes, but he mostly keeps Moore running through a series of boring rom-com cliches*, accidents and into unbearable* characters on the way to the movie’s nice, predictable* ending.(SD-Agencies)
