xǐdāngdiē
Meaning: "喜" means "happy," and "当爹" means "to become a dad." Literally meaning "happy to become a dad," this term coined by Chinese netizens is used sarcastically to refer to the situation when a man finally wins the heart of someone he has a crush on, it's not because the girl is moved and ready to accept him but because she becomes pregnant with someone else's child. And that someone else is not willing to take responsibility.
Example
Xiǎomǎ yào jiéhūn le。
Xiaoma is getting married.
Zhème kuài? Xīnniáng shì shénme rén?
So soon? Who's the bride?
Shì yǐqián nǐmen zhōngxué de xiàohuā。
She was your campus belle in high school.
Bù kěnéng ba? Tā zěnme huì kànshang xiǎomǎ? Xiǎomǎ yào xǐdāngdiē le ba?
Is that possible? What does she see in Xiaoma? Is he going to be the dad to her unborn child whose biological father is someone else?
Nà wǒ jìu bù zhīdào le。
That's a story I don't know.
