A SHENZHEN company started a service Sunday that provides luxury cars for people to rent, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

    The service, offered by the Deyu VIP Center of Hongda Group, is aiming at high-class customers, such as businesspeople and senior executives. Cars makes available for rental include Bentley, Porsche and some high-end models of BMW, Audi, Benz and Volkswagen.

    Customers can rent a car for one week to three months, a company employee surnamed Liu said, adding that prices vary between different cars. For example, renting a Bentley Flying Spur costs 50,000 yuan (US$8,196) per month, while renting a Beetle is only 3,000 yuan a month, according to the company.

    Liu said her company is optimistic about the high-end car rental market in Shenzhen. According to her, there is a large demand for luxurious cars among VIP centers and multinational groups in Shenzhen. Rental services will bring convenience to these clients, Liu said.

    To wealthy individuals, the service provides a chance to enjoy luxurious cars, she said.

    In addition to fancy cars, many businesses are looking to delve into the rental markets for other high-end products, including yacht and airplanes. Industry insiders estimate that the business will boom in the near future.(Zhang Yang)
