Hong Kong indie band Dr. Eggs will perform Friday at Brown Sugar Jar.

    Singer Joul Jacquin created Dr. Eggs in France in 1997, and the band played ska punk. After one year of traveling around Asia, Jacquin invited Hong Kong drummer Claudia Yu, double bassist Kylie Chow and guitarist Yanyan Pang to join him in 2005.

    The new band won an award at the Warehouse Band Competition 2006 and were chosen to perform on Rock It 2006.
