A bridge stands against floodwater in the Tuojiang River in Fenghuang County of Hunan Province yesterday. About 128,000 people in the county were affected by the flooding as record downpours hit the county Monday night. Fenghuang, a tourist destination renowned for its ancient town, receives an average of 20,000 to 30,000 tourists a day.
