CHARLES KEATING, who won a Daytime Emmy for the NBC soap opera “Another World,” has died, The Hollywood Reporter said Saturday. He was 72. He had been fighting cancer.
Keating was born in England and got his start on the stage before breaking into television. He went on to play the villainous Carl Hutchins in “Another World,” which earned him the outstanding lead actor in a drama series Daytime Emmy in 1996.
In 1986, he was nominated for a Tony for his work in the revival of “Loot.” His other credits include stints on “All My Children” and “As the World Turns.” On the big screen he appeared in 1992’s “The Bodyguard” and 1990’s “Awakenings.”(SD-Agencies)
