ALTHOUGH Beyonce posted adorable pictures of herself, husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy at a kart racing facility on her official site Friday, that didn’t help with the couple’s marriage woes.

    Both Us Weekly and People magazine reported that their breakup is imminent.

    “If they split, no one would be surprised,” a music industry source who has previously worked with Jay Z told People. “Word around the industry has been that things are rocky at home,” said the insider.

    While reports of Beyonce and Jay Z’s marital issues only recently exploded following the release of security footage showing the rapper getting physical with the songstress’ sister, Solange Knowles, 28, at a Met Gala afterparty in May, the insider claims the pair’s animosity has been palpable since long before the elevator scandal. “There has been tension between them for a while,” said the source.

    Prior to reporting the rumored divorce, which insiders are now speculating will be officially confirmed after the couple’s final “On the Run” tour date, Sept. 13, People reported the two are focusing on building their careers. “Their day-to-day lives revolve around business,” said the source.

    Similar to recent reports suggesting Beyonce, 32, has been shacking up sans Jay Z, 44, in a “secret” New York City apartment, the tabloid’s source reported that the couple are leading “separate lives” when they’re not on tour. “The constant pressure has taken much of the romance out of their relationship,” said the source of their marital issues.

    And another insider said Beyonce went without her husband to look for apartments in Manhattan, including a US$21.5 million penthouse in Chelsea.

    Life & Style magazine reported on Beyonce and Jay Z’s rumored divorce Tuesday, saying that the “Single Ladies” singer allegedly revealed to friends she is ready to pull the plug on her marriage following rumors the “99 Problems” rapper may have cheated. “She wants to be a strong role model for Blue,” said an insider.

    “Beyonce says she wants her marriage to work, but now that she has a little girl, she can’t put up with a man if she thinks he is cheating.”
