NICOLE KIDMAN has debuted a dramatically different new look for her villainous new role in “Paddington,” an adaptation of the popular children’s series.
With a harsh new blonde bob, the Oscar-winning actress looks like a formidable foe for the beloved bear famous for wearing a blue overcoat, red wellingtons and matching fisherman’s hat. With an androgynous ensemble featuring brown leather gloves, the part of Millicent Clyde, the director of the Museum of Natural History, is a fun shift from her usual roles.
Kidman plays alongside Hugh Bonneville (“Downton Abbey”) and Peter Capaldi (“Doctor Who”) in the movie, which is set for release in December.
In “Paddington,” the diminutive bear famously arrives at the London station that gives him his name with a sign around his neck reading, “Please look after this bear.” Initially bewildered by modern London after being brought up in the Peruvian jungle, things begin looking up for Paddington after he is taken in by the Brown family.(SD-Agencies)
