Teen missing

    A 14-YEAR-OLD girl, Liu Xiaowen, a native of Raoping in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, went missing Friday when she was on her way to school.

    The girl, wearing a school uniform at the time, is 163 cm tall. The family and school hope those who can provide clues will contact 110 or Longgang Public Security Subbureau.

    Fuel surcharge

    THE fuel surcharge per passenger for air routes of more than 800 km will drop 10 yuan (US$1.64) to 110 yuan starting Sept. 5, China Southern Airlines said Sunday, citing new rule from the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

    The surcharge for flights that are less than 800 kilometers remains unchanged at 60 yuan per passenger.
