秒回
miǎohuí
Meaning: "秒" means "a second," and "回" means to "respond." This term, coined by Chinese netizens, refers to a very quick response during online chatting. A person can be so timely in responding to another that he or she in effect replies within a second after a message reaches them. Game players also use the term to mean "a very quick recovery to the previous status."
Example
A: 你怎么一脸不高兴?
Nǐ zěnme yīliǎn bù gāoxìng?
Why do you look very unhappy?
B: 我觉得男朋友不爱我了。
Wǒ juédé nánpéngyǒu bù ài wǒ le。
It feels like my boyfriend doesn't love me any more.
A: 你们吵架了吗?
Nǐmen chǎojià le ma?
Did you have disputes?
B: 不是。以前我发微信给他,都是秒回。现在是我秒回,他半天不回。
Bùshì。Yǐqián wǒ fā wēixìn gěi tā, dōushì miǎohuí。Xiànzài shì wǒ miǎohuí, tā bàntiān bù huí。
No. In the past, he would respond to my WeChat posts immediately. Nowadays, I respond to his messages within a second, and he doesn't respond to mine until hours later.
