SHENZHEN’S transportation commission will operate nine additional express bus routes to the city’s east side, including four routes to Dameisha and five routes to Dapeng Peninsula, during the National Day holiday.
The five holiday bus routes to Dapeng Peninsula will start at the Longgang Transportation Bureau, Huangbeiling Metro Station, Yangmeikeng, Xichong Tollgate Station and Dongchong seashore to the Xinda Terminal in Nan’ao.
Three routes to Dameisha connect Huangbeiling Metro, Meilin Checkpoint and Universiade Metro Station. The route to Xiaomeisha links with Henggang Metro Station.
Besides expanding bus services for the holiday, the commission will add 20 buses to route E11 each day, which includes the Shenzhen North Railway Station and Nan’ao Bus Terminal. It will open a sectional route E11, depending on the holiday travel situation. The Express Bus 50 route will include a stop at the Inpatient Department of Shenzhen People’s Hospital in Luohu District and Dapeng. It will depart from the Inpatient Department of Shenzhen People’s Hospital between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The return buses will operate between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.
The short-trip route M423 between Dapeng Station and Dapeng National Geopark will be doubled to four buses from the present two.
In addition, the transportation commission will extend service for buses J1, M207, 380A, 380B, 387, 103A and 103B from Dameisha and Xiaomeisha to 2 a.m. nightly on Oct. 1, 2 and 7. Bus services for all other days during the 7-day holiday will be extended to midnight.
The services for buses B685 and B689 at Futian Checkpoint will be extended to 11 p.m. and services for buses 123, M206, B737, B794, B817 at Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint will be extended to 9 p.m. Bus services for buses B688 and B813 at Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint will be extended to 11:30 p.m.

DRIVERS whose cars break down or are involved in accidents on expressways in Huizhou can call 110, 3753322 (Huizhou section of Shenhai Expressway), 2796677 (Huizhou section of Guanghui Expressway), 2590122 (Huizhou section of Caoguan Expressway) and 7361110 (Huizhou section of Guanghe Expressway).
Shenzhen International Airport would like to remind holiday travelers to make sure their ID cards as valid, as the first batch of ID cards with a 10-year validity that were issued in 2004 are now invalid.
Cards that have expired in the last six months can still board planes, but those with a card that has been invalid for more than six months will not be allowed to board, the Shenzhen airport said.
Operators at Shekou Passenger Port will add 18 ferry services until Thursday between Shekou and Hong Kong International Airport. It will add one ferry service to Macao between Friday and Oct. 6. The ferry service to Zhuhai will operate every 15 minutes between Wednesday and Oct. 6, and the final ferry will launch at 9:30 p.m.
Yantian will continue its policy of limiting visitors at Dameisha Park to 50,000 people during the holiday. (Han Ximin)
