NANSHAN District will see its international education expand as construction started on a new international school campus, accommodating 800 students from expatriate families, in Xili in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, on Thursday.
The new campus of the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen (ISNS), covering a total area of 15,000 square meters, will include a six-story main building, a four-story kindergarten and an 11-story dormitory. It is expected to be put into use in the fall next year.
All classrooms will be facilitated with high-technology teaching equipment and wireless connectivity.
The campus will also include a 300-seat auditorium, science labs, computer labs and separate libraries for the kindergarten and a main building, as well as an outdoor sports field, an indoor swimming pool and other sports venues supporting students’ athletic development, the school said.
The campus will give full consideration to environmental protection by applying green and energy-saving technology to its architecture, such as using solar energy for power and air-refreshing systems to increase studying comforts.
