A CPC key meeting Thursday endorsed prior decisions to revoke the membership of six former officials.
They are Li Dongsheng, former vice minister of public security; Jiang Jiemin, former head of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council; Yang Jinshan, deputy commander of the Chengdu Military Area Command of the PLA; Wang Yongchun, former vice general manager of the China National Petroleum Corp.; Li Chuncheng, former deputy Party chief of Sichuan Province; and Wan Qingliang, former Guangzhou Party chief.
The previous decisions to strip them of their membership were made by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
Meanwhile, three new members filled vacancies of the Central Committee of the CPC following the dismissal of former members from the Party, according to the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC.
They are Ma Jiantang, Wang Zuo’an and Mao Wanchun, who were alternate members of the CPC Central Committee.
Ma is chief of the National Bureau of Statistics, and Wang is head of the State Administration of Religious Affairs, while Mao is a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee.(Xinhua)
