E-business stores flourishing
     2014-November-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A photo taken Wednesday shows a man named Ouyang Guoqian, who runs a Taobao e-business store selling Chinese wolfberry in Yinchuan, capital of northwestern China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The online sales of his store on Singles Day (Nov. 11) reached 5,580,000 yuan (US$911,765), 200 times his average daily sales.

Online sales on Alibaba’s Tmall.com, Taobao.com and its overseas outlets, such as AliExpress, topped 57.1 billion yuan as of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, beating Tmall and Taobao’s combined 2013 Singles Day sales of 36.2 billion yuan, according to the company. Customers from 217 countries and regions joined the shopping spree, with Hong Kong, the United States and Russia being the top-three overseas buyers.SD-Agencies
