A staff member of a wine trading company smashes a fake bottle of Lafite, an expensive French wine, at the company’s office in Shenzhen yesterday. The company said it purchased more than 7 million yuan (US$1.14 million) worth of imported wines, including 346 bottles of Lafite, at an auction in Zhuhai, Guangdong, two years ago. However, 227 bottles of Lafite were later discovered to be fake. The company destroyed the fake wines yesterday, saying it won’t sell fake products to its customers. Hong Kong China News Agency
