Mercury to drop to 10 ºC
     2014-December-2  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE lowest temperature in the city will drop to 10 degrees Celsius on Friday as a cold front, the strongest since autumn this year, started to affect the city yesterday.

The cold front brought the forecasted low to 17 degrees Celsius yesterday, and as more cold air moves in, the temperature is expected to drop further to 13 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow, though the cold front will have weakened, the minimum temperature will remain at 13 degrees Celsius because of cloudy weather.

Another round of cold air will cause a further drop in temperature to around 10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.

It will also bring light rainfall and strong wind, Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory said yesterday.

Another cold front is expected to affect the city Sunday after a day of rising temperatures Saturday.

The observatory reminded residents to keep warm during the frequent temperature changes.
