Meaning:
“也是”means “also,” “蛮”means quite, pretty, “拼” means hard-working, “的” is an auxiliary word. The phrase is often used in Taiwan and is now getting popular among Chinese mainland netizens. It is used to comment on a person’s bizarre or astonishing behavior, which draws public attention.
Example:
Xiànzài yǒude míngxīng wèile xīyǐn gōngzhòng zhùyìlì bùxī zuòchū yīxiē qíguài de jǔdòng.
Recently, some stars have been acting strangely to draw public attention.
ó? Jǔ gè lìzǐ.
Oh? Give me an example.
Lìzǐ tàiduō lā.Jiùná Càiyīlín zuìjìn chū de zhuānjí lái shuō ba. Tā zài MV lǐmiàn jūrán quánluǒ chūjìng, zhǐzài guānjiàn bùwèi dǎshàng mǎsàikè.
There are too many examples. Just take Jolin Tsai’s recent album as an example. She is naked in the music video, only pixelating the naughty bits.
Wà,tīng nǐ zhème yīshuō tā yěshì mánpīnde.
Wow, she is really something.
Dànshì hěnduō “tuōle” de míngxīng yě méi bèi dàjiā jìzhù.
But many naked stars are forgotten the next day.
