从2015年1月1日起至3月13日，北上广深间将首次增开夕发朝至的卧铺高铁。请看本报昨日的报道：

    China’s railway operator will offer sleepers on high-speed trains between Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen during the 2015 Spring Festival travel season between Jan. 1 and March 13.

    Tickets for the eight pairs of high-speed trains on the Beijing- Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Shanghai-Guangzhou-Shenzhen lines will go on sale Dec. 20, Shenzhen North Railway Station said.

    There are two pairs linking Shenzhen and Beijing and another two linking Shenzhen and Shanghai.

    报道中的sleeper就是“卧

    铺”，sleep是“睡觉”，sleeper可以是“睡觉的人”，也可以是卧铺(sleeping car)。而另一个词cook则是动词“烹饪”或名词“厨师”，cooker是“厨具”。
