Korean pop duo threatens legal action over use of song in ‘The Interview’
     2014-December-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TWO Korean pop stars have threatened legal action over the use of their song in the controversial film “The Interview.”

Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae, a husband and wife duo, have alleged that their song “Pay Day” was used in the film without permission.

According to the pair and their agency FeelGhood Music, there were talks about licensing the track to the film but negotiations had stopped.

It was only after the release of the film that both parties became aware of the song’s use.

A spokesperson for the agency told Billboard that the artists were hesitant to allow the song to appear in the film because of the film’s controversial plot.

FeelGhood Music has said it intends to take the agency that handled the negotiations with Sony to court.(SD-Agencies)
