    A big step has been taken for former Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian’s release from prison on medical parole after a panel reached a consensus considering his physical and mental conditions, according to local media.

    Taiwan authorities said Tuesday that it had not received an evaluation report from the 15-member medical team responsible for assessing Chen’s health condition and had not set any timetable for handling the matter, Central News Agency reported.

    报道中的on medical parole就是“保外就医”，parole就是“假释”，即“有条件的释放”。例如：
