FINES IN ‘STRICT AREA’ START IN SHENZHEN
     2015-January-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A car that was parked illegally on Pengcheng 2nd Road, Futian District, Shenzhen, is towed away by traffic police Thursday. Traffic police on Thursday implemented stricter rules and heavier fines of up to 2,000 yuan (US$328) for parking violations inside its “strict area.” More than 500 officers are being deployed to patrol for violations between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. each day. The “strict area,” the first of its kind in Shenzhen, refers to an area where parking laws are slated to be enforced more strictly, and is enclosed by Bao’an Road in the east, Xinzhou Road in the west, Beihuan Boulevard in the north and a border road with Hong Kong in the south.
