HBO and Mike Myers are going into business together.
The “Wayne’s World” actor has entered a two-year overall deal with HBO, which includes TV exclusivity.
“Saturday Night Live” alum Myers, whose credits also include the “Austin Powers” and “Shrek” movie series, said in an announcement Wednesday: “I’m thrilled to be at HBO.”
Michael Lombardo, president, HBO programming, also noted, “Myers is one of the great comedy minds of this or any other era. The opportunity to collaborate with a talent of his stature is tremendously exciting.”
Mayers wrote the “Wayne’s World” and “Austin Powers” films — Myers recently made his directorial debut with “Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon,” which was released in June 2014.
The actor from Toronto, Canada, received a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. (SD-Agencies)
