    A man is being sought by police in Central China’s Henan Province after an 11-year-old boy died when his throat was cut in a TCM bloodletting therapy.

    The boy, Yangyang, died of excessive blood loss after treatment at an unlicensed clinic run by Zhang Liwen, according to China News Service.

    His mother, surnamed Lou, said she took the boy to the clinic in Shitun Village after he complained of a sore throat, local news portal www.hnr.cn reported.

    “Zhang pressed Yangyang’s tongue with a plastic item, saying he had tonsillitis and needed to let out some blood,” Lou said.
