A GRIEVING dog owner released a heartbreaking video that appears to show his Rottweiler Brutus mourning and crying over the body of his dead twin brother, Hank.
Brett Bennett of Seattle, Washington, the U.S., posted the video to his YouTube account dedicated to the two dogs after Hank died in his sleep Jan. 20.
“Brutus does not want to leave him and will not budge, laying on top of his head. Brutus has never whined or cried out in pain the two years I have had him … But clearly you can see in his eyes, he is crying for his brother who had passed as his world around him just crumbled,” Bennett wrote under the video. “We both grieve and cry for our brother … This is proof that animals do have emotions and feel pain just like we do. Please share this heartbreaking story everywhere and let it go viral … Let the world know animals feel love and pain just like us.”
In the video, Brutus can be seen resting his head on his deceased brother, as his eyes look visibly teary.
Bennett adopted the pair from a shelter. He suspected that Hank was about 10 years old, and said his father reminded him that Rottweilers of Hank’s size don’t generally have long lives.
“Normally I don’t video record my real life catastrophes or share but decided I needed to send a message to the world and show how much pain my dog was in as he loved his Twin so much,” he said.(SD-Agencies)
