安可效应
ānkě xiàoyìng
Meaning: "安可" is the transliteration of "encore," and "效应" means "effect." The term, raised by author Mark Sanborn in his book of the same title, refers to outstanding performance at work or in other aspects that is worthy of an encore performance. If you can deliver such performance, people will shout for more of what you do. The corresponding Chinese term was accepted as a new phrase in mandarin by a Beijing-based national language research center in 2010.
Example:
A: 听说没?小米要升副总经理了。
Tīngshuō méi? Xiǎomǐ yào shēng fù zǒng jīnglǐ le。
Have you heard it? Xiaomi has been slated for the vice general manager.
B: 他可真是年轻有为的安可人士。
Tā kě zhēnshì niánqīng yǒuwéi de ānkě rénshì。
He is a young successful "encore performer."
A: 什么安可人士?
Shénme ānkě rénshì?
What is an encore performer?
B: 就是拥有安可效应的职场成功人士,他们在工作中能完美地展现自己,同时能与上司、同事和谐相处。
Jìushì yōngyǒu ānkě xiàoyìng de zhíchǎng chénggōng rénshì, tāmen zài gōngzuò zhōng néng wánměi de zhǎnxiàn zìjǐ, tóngshí néng yǔ shàngsī、tóngshì héxié xiāngchǔ。
It refers to those professionals with the encore effect who deliver themselves perfectly at work while at the same time get along well with their boss and colleagues.
