ONLINE APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE FOR VISA ISSUES
     2015-March-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

EXPATS and residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can make online reservations before submitting their applications for exit-entry documents starting Monday, the exit-entry administration under Shenzhen’s public security bureau announced Thursday.

Relevant appointments include those for exit-entry documents and endorsements for people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Applicants can log on to www.sz3e.com, the official website of the exit-entry administration, to make reservations. The website has an English version.

The move is intended to increase the efficiency of the visa application process and save applicants’ time.

Those who need medical treatment for serious diseases in other countries, need to leave China to attend funerals or handle funeral-related business, or urgently need to handle exit formalities for a lost, damaged or stolen passport, can go to the exit-entry service hall of Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on work days at Jiefang Road in Luohu District (directly across from Diwang Mansion) to apply without necessarily making an appointment, according to the administration.

Newborns in Shenzhen whose parents are both foreigners, applicants who are above 65 years old, pregnant women or those with disabilities can all apply at the hall without making a reservation.

For more details, those interested can call 8446-5490.
