A LOCAL telecommunications firm recently won an international design award in Germany.
Huawei Technologies was given the design award for its terminal box FastATB at the 2015 iF Product Design Award, which just ended in Hannover, Chinese-language media reported.
FastATB is designed and made by Huawei with innovative technology that embeds an optical fiber adapter and internal optical fibers into a solid ATB box.
The design of the box helps link indoor optical fibers, avoiding damage to home environments and walls. The optical fibers’ port can be ejected with a simple click at the bottom of the box when connecting with a high-speed network.
The iF Product Design Award — dubbed “The Oscars of the Design Industry” — is one of the most prestigious design competitions around the world.
The iF Product Design Award was introduced in 1954 and is annually conferred by the iF International Forum Design. Every year the iF attracts more than 2,000 product entries from around 37 nations, which are judged by renowned experts, with the best of them receiving an iF seal of outstanding design quality.
