Shows canceled
COMEDIAN Jerry Seinfeld’s debut in India has been canceled after Mumbai city police expressed concern over inadequate parking space for people attending the two nearly sold-out shows, the event’s promoters said Friday.
Seinfeld, best known for his eponymous hit TV series in the 1990s, was to perform his stand-up routines March 14 and 15 at a Mumbai stadium. Ticket prices ranged from 7,500 rupees (US$120) to 12,500 rupees and the money is to be refunded.
Murder appeal
BRUCE BERESFORD-REDMAN, former producer of the television series “Survivor,” has appealed a decision by a Mexican judge who sentenced him to 12 years in prison for murdering his wife in Cancun, his lawyer said Friday.
A judge convicted Beresford-Redman of murdering 41-year-old restaurant owner Monica Burgos while the couple vacationed with their two children at a Cancun resort in April 2010, the attorney general’s office of Mexico’s Quintana Roo state said late Thursday.
Baby for Li Nian
CHINESE actress Li Nian, best known for her role in the TV series “Dwelling Narrowness,” gave birth to a baby boy by C-section Saturday. This is the second child for the actress and her husband Lin Heping. Lin, a partner with investment company SAIF Partners, married Li in 2011. Their daughter was born in 2012.

CAPTAIN America is off the market! Chris Evans and Lily Collins are dating, Us Weekly confirmed. The pair first met at Vanity Fair’s star-studded Oscars party last month. Evans, 33, previously dated actress Jessica Biel from 2004 to 2006. He most recently split from Minka Kelly. Collins, 25, was last linked to Australian actor Thomas Cocquerel in February 2014. Before that, she dated Jamie Campbell Bower, Taylor Lautner, and had a brief romance with Zac Efron.
