整个人都不好了
     2015-March-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    Meaning:

“整个” means “the whole of,” “人” means “person,” “都” is used to accentuate something, and “不好了” means “not good.” This expression, originally appearing in classical Chinese novel “A Dream of Red Mansions,” literally means “One is in a terrible condition, like, suffering a serious disease.” Chinese netizens, however, use the expression as a hyperbole in situations where they feel shocked or helpless.

    Example:

    A: 深圳时装周你去了吗?

Shēnzhèn shízhuāngzhōu nǐ qù le ma?

Did you attend the Shenzhen Fashion Week?

    B: 没有,有什么新鲜事发生?

    Méiyǒu, yǒu shénme xīnxiānshì fāshēng?

    No. What’s up?

    A: 有个光头纹身女,穿了极其暴露又难看的衣服出现在秀场。看,这是她的照片。

Yǒu gè guāngtóu wénshēn nǚ, chuān le jíqí bàolù yòu nánkàn de yīfú chūxiàn zài xìuchǎng。Kàn, zhè shì tā de zhàopiān。

There was this bald woman with tatoos, clad in ugly and revealing outfits, showing up at the fashion shows. Check out her photos!

    B: 天啦,我整个人都不好了。

Tiānla, wǒ zhěnggè rén dōu bùhǎo le。

    OMG, I feel sick now.
